SCULPTURES IN THE BUSH | Nina Ambjerg-Pederson | LAJAMANU

Nina Ambjerg-Pederson

As part of the Katherine Regional Arts ambitious SCULPTURES IN THE BUSH project, sculptor Nina Ambjerg-Pederson traveled to Lajamanu late April to conduct a week long JUNK SCULPTURE workshop with local artists. As you can see, and without giving too much away, there was some unique and decidedly AMAZING junk sculpture created.

Also part of the Katherine Regional Arts SCULPTURES IN THE BUSH project, sculptor Mark Swartz is currently in Ngukurr, while fiber artist and sculptor Aly De Groot is in Numbulwar. Given the success of Nina’s workshop, we are quite excited to see what these two final workshops produce.

All work created during the SCULPTURES IN THE BUSH project will be entrants to, and on display at the JUNK SCULPTURE CHALLENGE 2015 exhibition at the FINCH CAFE garden.

SCULPTURES IN THE BUSH proudly Supported and Sponsored by the Australia Council for the Arts | Regional Festivals Project Fund.
