Community-led Open Studio is a time for people to hang out and get creative.

Open Studio’s at Katherine Regional Arts are an opportunity to work on existing art projects, begin a new one or experiment with creative materials. This is not a facilitated workshop, rather it is a space for people to work self-guided on their own projects, using KRA materials and facilities.

Or $10 Casual Fee



To use specialist equipment, members must be certified by the studio committee. This may involve passing a test to earn a license, i.e. kiln license, print press license.


The use of materials is an additional price, though some consumables are included in the fee.
Materials Prices- we will use an honesty box

Lino for cutting $9  –  150 gsm paper $6 whole, $3 half  –  300 gsm paper $9 whole, $4.50 half

A3 Transparency for silk screen $2  –  Ink for Print Run (approximately $25 p/50 shirts)

Silk Screen hire and exposure $20 independently /$60 w assistance (depending on availability)

Clay $30 whole block/$15 half  –  Kiln load $60 studio members, $100 non-members

Consumables (included in the $10 entry fee, for small scale works)
News print paper, Printing ink, Paint, Brushes, Ceramics tools, Lino tools, Charcoal


Everyone must sign in upon arrival
